집단 수퍼비전에서 초심 수퍼바이저의 경험과 인식

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 초심 수퍼바이저가 집단 수퍼비전에서 교사 기능을 수행함에 있어서 인식과 경험을 이해하고 그 의미를 분석하였다. 방법 연구 참여자는 A대학교 일반대학원 상담심리전공에 재학 중인 대학원생을 대상으로 집단 수퍼비전을 진행했던 4명의 초심 수퍼바이저로 선정하였다. 자료는 2021년 11월부터 2022년 1월까지 심층면담을 진행하여 수집하였고, 그 외 개인 기록물, 회기별 보고서 등 자료를 활용하였으며, 이를 현상학적 연구방법을 적용하여 분석하였다. 결과 분석 결과, ‘초심수퍼바이저의 불안’, ‘무조건적인 지지와 격려’, ‘상담전문성에 대한 요구’의 3개 상위 구성요소와 그 안에 6개 하위범주, 그 아래 12개 의미단위를 도출하였다. 초심수퍼바이저는 자신의 불안을 인정하는 것으로부터 시작하여 지지와 격려로 집단 안에서 조력하는 경험, 그리고 전문성에 대한 점검 및 평가 등 교육자 기능을 수행하는 경험을 하였다. 결론 본 연구는 초심 수퍼바이저가 초심 수퍼바이지를 대상으로 수퍼비전을 진행함에 있어서 교사 기능을 수행함에 있어서 어떤 인식과 경험을 하는지 탐색하고 그 의의를 탐구하는 것에 의의를 가진다. 이는 초심 상담자들이 상담학 분야에서 전문가로 성장하는 과정에서 경험하게 될 두 가지 역할, 즉 초심 수퍼바이지와 초심 수퍼바이저 단계에서 모두 의미 있는 자료가 될 것이라고 예상한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to explore the perception and experience of novice supervisors performing teaching functions in group supervision and to analyze their meaning. Methods The purposes of this study were four novice supervisors who conducted group supervision with graduate students majoring in counseling psychology at A University. Data were collected through in-depth interviews conducted from November 2021 to January 2022, as well as personal records and session reports, and analyzed using phenomenological research methods. Results The analysis resulted in three top-level components, namely “anxiety of novice supervisors,” “unconditional support and encouragement,” and “demand for counseling expertise,” along with six subcategories and twelve units of meaning. Conclusions This study aims to explore the perception and meaning of novice supervisors performing teaching functions in group supervision with novice supervisees. It is expected that this study will provide valuable insights for novice counselors to grow into experts in the counseling field through the two significant roles they experience in the process of becoming novice supervisors and novice supervisees.
