The purpose of this study is to investigate the needs of foreign students for a media Korean language curriculum and to derive implications for the development of the curriculum. This study aims to discuss the Korean language curriculum, which is a medium that educates the Korean language based on media and develops the ability to acquire and produce new information, beyond passive media utilization. The ultimate purpose of the media Korean language education proposed in this study is to foster media literacy that allows the use of Korean critically and creative communication. The contents of the education consist of four areas: approach and utilization, critical acceptance, creative calculation, and multimedia communication. In this study, 121 foreign students were surveyed on the demand for the development of a Korean language curriculum to developm Korean language media literacy, the demand for four education areas, and the demand for media types. The results show that every question has a high need and demand. These findings could be used as a basis for the development of a more advanced media Korean language curriculum.
