영문 초록

This paper purposes to show grammar description methods of Korean time expression elements. This paper describes time expressions of Korean final Ending and pre-final ending in detail so that learners can use those descriptions clearly when they produce Korean sentences. Regarding for the time expressions, this paper compares Korean grammar research results in linguistics with practiced descriptions in Korean education briefly in Chapter 2 and criticizes grammatic description methods in current Korean textbooks in Chapter 3. In Chapter 4, four things that we should consider for describing Korean time expressions are presented. They are as follows: 1. the scale of idealization in grammatical description should be presented more specifically, 2. the products that are showed in the process of Korean linguistic grammar research should be used well, 3. the learner's errors should be reflected for those grammar descriptions, 4. grammar items should be arranged in the spiral structure. In Chapter 5, the actual descriptions of time expressions based on those four those methods are presented.
