중학생의 스마트폰 사용시간, 교사애착, 학업열의간 종단적 관계 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 중학생의 스마트폰 사용 시간, 교사애착, 학업열의의 시간에 따른 변화 경향과 세 변인간의 인과적 추론과 역동적 상호영향력 분석을 목적으로 수행되었다. 방법 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 한국아동⋅청소년패널조사(Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018) 자료 중 스마트폰을 사용하는 중학생의 응답을 분석하였다. 1차 년도(2018년) 중학교 1학년부터 2차 년도(2019년) 중학교 2학년, 3차 년도(2020년) 중학교 3학년까지 모든 조사에 참여한 학생을 대상으로 하였다. 종단적 관계를 검증하기 위해 자기회귀교차지연모형을 적용하여 분석하였다. 결과 첫째, 중학생이 스마트폰 사용시간, 교사애착, 학업열의는 시간의 경과에 따라 안정적인 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 스마트폰 사용 시간은 교사애착과 학업열의를 예측하였다. 셋째, 교사애착은 차기년도 스마트폰 사용 시간과 학업열의를 예측하였다. 넷째 학업열의는 차기년도 스마트폰 사용 시간과 교사애착을 예측하였다. 다섯째 각 변인은 나머지 두 변인 사이에서 매개작용을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 이상의 연구결과를 바탕으로 스마트폰 사용 조절, 교사애착, 학업열의 제고를 위한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study was to analyze trend of change over time and causality among smartphone usage time, teacher attachment, and academic engagement of middle school students. Methods The data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey 2018 were analyzed. In order to verify the longitudinal relationship, an autoregressive cross-lag model was employed. Results First, middle school students' smartphone usage time, teacher attachment, and academic engagement were stable over time. Second, smartphone usage time predicted teacher attachment and academic engagement in the following year. Third, teacher attachment predicted smartphone usage time and academic engagement in the following year. Fourth, academic engagement predicted smartphone usage time and teacher attachment in the following year. Fifth, each variable was found to mediate between the other two variables. Conclusions Based on the research results, recommendations for controlling smartphone use, improving of teacher attachment and academic engagement were suggested.
