청소년 기관 초심 상담자들이 경험하는 어려움과 의미에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년 기관의 초심 상담자들이 경험하는 어려움과 그 의미에 대해 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구 참여자는 경력 3년 미만의 상담자 6명을 선정하여 심층 면담으로 진행한 후, Giorgi(1985)의현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 초심 상담자가 경험하는 어려움으로는 ‘상담이론을적용하기 힘든 다양한 상황을 경험함’, ‘생각지 못했던 현장의 장애물을 맞닥뜨림’, ‘상담자의 전문성부족으로 인한 한계’, ‘윤리 vs. 현실로 인한 심리적 갈등’, ‘상담에 대한 부정적인 시선으로 인해어려움’, ‘내담자로 인해 야기되는 어려움’이 있었다. 또한, 참여자들은 ‘현장의 한계를 극복하게끔하는 방안을 발견‘하였으며, ’상담자로서의 발전의 필요성을 느끼‘며 현장에서의 의미를 발견한 것으로확인되었다. 본 연구에서는 청소년 기관 청소년 상담자들이 경험하고 있는 어려움과 그 과정에서의의미를 통해 이후 상담자 발달과 현장의 노력에 대한 논의를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study attempted to explore the difficulties experienced by first-time counselors in youthinstitutions and their meanings. The study participants selected six counselors with less thanthree years of experience and conducted in-depth interviews, and analyzed them usingGiorgi(1985)'s phenomenological research method. As a result of the study, the difficultiesexperienced by first-time counselors are 'experience various situations that are difficult to applycounseling theory', 'facing obstacles in the unexpected field', 'limitations due to lack of expertiseof counselors', 'ethics vs. There were psychological conflicts caused by reality, difficulties causedby negative views on counseling, and difficulties caused by clients. In addition, it was confirmedthat the participants “discovered a way to overcome the limitations of the field” and “felt theneed for development as a counselor” and found meaning in the field. In this study, through thedifficulties experienced by youth counselors in youth institutions and the meaning of the process,discussions on the development of counselors and on-site efforts were proposed.
