중학교 1학년 학생들의 학교수학 수업과 융합수학 수업에 대한 수업 장면 그리기를 통한 이미지 분석 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중학생들의 수학 수업에 대한 인식을 알아보기 위하여 학생들에게 일반적인 수학 수업과 융합수학 수업에 대한 수업 장면 그리기를 요청하였고, 분석 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 일반적인 수학 수업에 대해서는 연구 참여자의 89.7%가 교사 중심의 수업 이미지를 보여준 반면, 학생 중심의 수업 이미지는 찾아볼 수 없었다. 둘째, 융합수학 수업에 관해서는 연구 참여자의 6.9%가 교사 중심의 수업 이미지를 보여준 반면, 58.6%는 학생 중심의 수업 이미지를 나타내어 융합수학 수업에서는 학생 중심의 수업 이미지의 비율이 월등히 높음을 알 수 있었다. 융합수학 수업에 대한 인식 설문 조사에서 학생들은 융합수학 수업에서 이루어진 다양한 체험 활동을 매우 긍정적으로 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났는데, 그러한 체험 활동이 학생들의 적극적인 수업 참여를 유도하여 학생들로 하여금 학생 중심의 수업 이미지를 형성하게 하는 결과로 이어진 것으로 추측된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to find out the image of mathematics classes that students think, we asked first-year middle school students to draw a picture of general mathematics classes and mathematics-centered STEAM classes. As a result of the analyzing the pictures drawn by students first, it was found that 89.7% of the students who participated in this study formed a teacher-centered teaching image for general mathematics classes, and there was no learner-centered image. Second, as a result of analyzing the students' image of the mathematics-centered STEAM classes, the image of teacher-centered class was 6.9% and the image of student-centered class was 58.6% of the students who participated in this study, so it was found that the proportion of student-centered class images was remarkably high in the mathematics-centered STEAM classes. In the survey on perceptions of the mathematics-centered STEAM classes, students were found to be very positive about the various experiential activities conducted in the classes, so it is presumed that such experiential activities led to the result of inducing students' active participation in the class, which led them to form a student-centered class image.
