함수의 증가와 감소 수업에서 드러난 커머그니티브 갈등의 양상과 학습에서의 역할

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 함수의 증가와 감소 학습에서 나타날 수 있는 학습자의 어려움과 비효율적인 의사소통 패턴을 Sfard가 제시한 커머그니티브 갈등 개념으로 조명하여 갈등의 양상과 학습에서의 역할을 탐색하고자 하였다. 따라서 서울의 한 일반계 고등학교에서 진행된 함수의 증가 감소 수업을 분석하였고, 그 중에서도 예 구성하기 과제를 해결하는 두 학생의 동료 멘토링에서 드러난 상호작용을 중점적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 멘토가 구성한 예가 멘티의 불완전한 이해로 인해 형상적인 이미지로 작용하였고, 그와 더불어 두 학생이 따르는 메타 규칙이 달라서 발생한 커머그니티브 갈등에서 멘티의 불완전한 이해 요소가 표면화되어 인지 갈등이 명확해지는 모습이 확인되었다. 분석 결과를 토대로 본 연구에서는 미분 개념에 대한 이해가 부족한 학생이 커머그니티브 갈등 과정을 통해 주도적으로 수학적 개념을 판단하고 정당화할 수 있는 풍부한 학습 기회를 제공받을 수 있다는 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

In this study, we illuminated learner’s difficulties that can arise from learning to monotonicity of functions and inefficient communication pattern as concept of commognitive conflict introduced by Sfard, and investigated the aspects of commognitive conflict and its role in learning. Thus, we analyzed a class under the theme of monotonicity of functions at general high school in Seoul, and focused our analysis on the interactions in peer tutoring of two students who solve the task requiring exemplification. According to the analysis, Because of tutee's incomplete understanding, the examples formed by a tutor served as a figural image to tutee. In a commognitive conflict cause by different meta-rules followed by two students and figural image, it has been confirmed that the incomplete understanding of learning element have surfaced, making cognitive conflicts clear. Based on the analysis results, this study suggests that students with a poor understanding of differential concepts can be given rich opportunity to learn to judge and justify mathematical concepts with participating a commognitive conflict.
