메이커교육이 예비유아교사의 융합인재소양과 공감능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 아동문학 수업에서 적용한 메이커교육이 예비유아교사의 융합인재소양과 공감능력에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 실행되었다. 이를 위해 A 전문대학의 유아교육과 아동문학 수업을 강한 학생 23명을 대상으로 메이커교육을 적용하였고 융합인재소양과 공감능력에 대한 전·후 검사 대응표본 t-test를 통해 그 효과를 검증하였다. 연구 결과는 첫째, 예비유아교사 대상 메이커교육은 융합인재소양에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 융합인재소양의 융합, 창의, 배려, 소통 네 개의 영역 모두 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 보였다. 둘째, 예비유아교사 대상 메이커교육은 공감능력에 긍정적인 영향이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 공감능력의 인지적 공감과 정의적 공감 두 개의 영역 중 인지적 공감은 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 보였으나 정의적 공감은 유의한 결과를 보이지 않았다. 이를 통해 미래사회에 필요한 융합적 소양을 증진하기 위해 메이커교육은 중요한 교육적 가치를 갖고 있다는 것을 확인하였으며 미래인재를 교육하는 교사에게 의미 있는 교육방법이라는 시사점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to find out the effect of maker education applied in children's literature classes on the cultivation of convergence talents and empathic ability of prospective early childhood teachers. To this end, maker education was applied to a total of 23 freshmen students taking early childhood education and children's literature classes at a College in Korea, and its impact was verified through pared t-tests on convergence talent cultivation and empathic ability. First, the study showed that maker education for pre-child teachers had a positive effect on fostering convergence talent. All four areas of convergence, creativity, consideration, and communication showed statistically significant results. Second, maker education for pre-childhood teachers was found to have a positive effect on empathy. Among the two areas of cognitive empathic ability and affective empathies, cognitive empathy showed statistically significant results, but affective empathy did not. Through this study, it was confirmed that maker education has an important educational value to promote convergent knowledge necessary for the future society, and implications were drawn that it is a meaningful educational method for teachers who educate future generation.
