한국어 숙달도에 영향을 주는 요인 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 터키에 거주하는 한국인 제3문화 아이들(TCK) 95명을 대상으로 숙달도 평가지와 문화정체성 척도, 인구학적 설문지를 사용하여 한국어 숙달도에 영향을 주는 변인들을 살펴보고자 하였다. 숙달도 평가로 TOPIK을 변용하여 사용하였으며 터키에 거주하는 TCK의 성별, 연령, 터키 이주 나이, 한국어 학습 기간, 문화정체성에 대한 자기 인식, 한국 문화정체성, 터키 문화정체성의 변인들과 한국어 숙달도와의 상관관계를 살펴보았다. 한국 문화정체성과 터키 이주 나이가 한국어 숙달도와 유의미한 관계가 있는 것으로 나왔으며 특히 터키 이주 나이가 한국어 숙달도와 더 높은 상관관계를 보였다. 이러한 결과를 통해 한국어 숙달도에 영향을 주는 변인들을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This study aims to study factors affecting level of Korean language proficiency for Korean Third Culture Kids (TCK) dwelling in Turkey. 95 Korean TCKs were asked to answer three different questionnaires designated to investigate Korean language proficiency, cultural identity and demographic background. This study adopts altered TOPIK for evaluation of Korean language proficiency, and focuses on finding out relationship of Korean proficiency with sexuality, age, age at immigration into Turkey, years of Korean study, self-recognition of cultural identity, cultural identity of Korea, and cultural identity of Turkey. The result shows that cultural identity of Korea and age at immigration into Turkey have significant relationship with level of Korean proficiency, especially age at immigration into Turkey has more significant relationship with the proficiency. The result from this study helps to recognize factors affecting level of Korean language proficiency.
