한국어 학습자의 모어와 한국어의 어두 파열음 산출에 나타나는 다언어적 특징 연구

국문 초록

목적：본 연구에서는 중국어, 러시아어, 일본어, 태국어를 모어로 하는 한국어학습자들을 대상으로 그들의 모어와 한국어까지 모두 5개 언어의 어두 파열음 산출 실험을 통해 개별 언어와 다언어적 특징 및 양상을 살피고 아울러 그 특징이 한국어 파열음 발음에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 방법：파열음의 대립을 기준으로 2항 및 3항 범주언어를 선정, 한국어학습자 32명과 한국어모어 화자 3명을 대상으로 산출 실험을 실시하였다. 분석 항목은 1) VOT (ms) 2) 후속 모음의 기본주파수(F0：Hz)이다. 결과：평음의 VOT 분포 범위가 경음/격음에 비해 넓게 나타나는 경향이 한국어 모어 화자를 포함하여 모든 언어권에서 관찰되었다. 또 학습자 모어들 간의 공통된 다언어적 특징을 F0에서 발견하였으며 그것은 한국어 파열음 발음에도 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인하였다. 결론：본 연구 결과는 보다 객관적이고 다각적인 관점에서 한국어 파열음을 바라보고 그것에 따른 교육 방법을 모색해야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Purpose：In this study, word-initial plosives are investigated features and patterns of five languages through production experiments of learners of Korean, who are speaking Chinese, Russian, Japanese, and Thai languages. And it aims to clarify how the features of their native languages affect the pronunciation of Korean plosive sounds. Methods：Based on the phoneme distinction of the plosive sounds, the languages with two-way and three-way were classified, and the production experiments were conducted with 32 Korean learners and 3 Korean native speakers. The analysis items are 1) VOT (ms), 2) the fundamental frequency (F0：Hz) of the following vowel. Results：In the results, it was found that the contrastive ways of language and the features of the categories affect the mean and distribution of the VOT of Korean lenis sounds. And common multilingual features among learners’ native languages were found in the F0 value. Conclusion：The results of this study imply that we need more objective and multidirectional perspectives to the plosive sounds of Korean and find more effective teaching methods based on these results.
