미래사회 변화와 작문 영역 교사 전문성

국문 초록

목적 : 이 연구는 영미권 자국어 교육계에서 변화하는 미래 사회에 대응하기 위한 작문 영역 교사 전문성을 어떻게 정의하고 범주를 나누었는지 살펴보는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 방법 : 이를 위해 작문 영역 교사 전문성과 관련된 국내 선행 연구와, 영미권 국가 교사 협회 교육 자료 및 선행 연구를 검토하여 미래 사회 변화에 따른 작문 영역 교사 전문성 문제를 어떻게 접근하고 교육 범주와 목표를 설정하고 있는지 살펴보았다. 결과 : 교사 협회 자료와 국내외 선행 연구 검토를 통해 작문 영역 교사 전문성의 정의, 범주, 요인을 설명하고, 시대적 변화와 요청을 어떤 식으로 반영하였는지 논의하였다. 결론 : 범박한 상식선의 논의에 그치는 연구도 있으나 작문 영역 교사 전문성과 전문 지식과 관련된 논의는 나름의 실존적 체험에서 우러난 고민의 결과물이다. 우리나라와 다른 맥락, 교육 시스템에서 이루어진 연구이지만 우리에게도 지난한 교육과정 개편과 개선을 위한 성찰의 물꼬를 제공한다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study examined how the domains of British and American language arts respond to increasingly complex societies in defining the professionalism of the pedagogy of writing. Methods: The study entailed the review of the extant studies relating to instructional expertise in imparting education in writing, scrutiny of educational materials from British and American teacher associations, and the appraisal of previously conducted investigations of the issues pertinent to the specialization of teachers in the domain of writing. Results: The definitions, categories, and factors of instructional expertise in writing education were illustrated through the review of teacher association resources and domestic and international studies conducted in the past. In particular, the current investigation attended to ways of coping with social, technological, cultural changes and reflected on the existing educational resources and research. Conclusion: Studies comprising practical proposals related to teacher expertise and expert knowledge in writing education are limited. However, the reviewed literature and resources offer the opportunity of contemplating the reorganization and improvement of Korean language arts curricula even though the studies were related to different contexts, participants, and educational systems.
