코로나19 재난상황을 경험한 국내 의료진의 심리사회적어려움 및 요구에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 코로나19 재난 현장에 참여한 국내 의료진들이 호소하는 심리사회적 어려움은 무엇이며, 이와 관련하여 어떠한 개선 및 지원을 요구하는지를 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 코로나19 감염병대응업무 경험이 있는 의료종사자 총 14명을 대상으로 2021년 1월부터 2021년 3월까지 심층 인터뷰를진행하였으며, 이를 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내의료진들의 심리사회적 어려움은 5개의 범주와 13개의 하위범주, 34개의 의미단위가 도출되었다. 구체적인 5개의 범주는 ‘업무수행에서 느껴지는 심리적 부담감’, ‘이해받지 못하는 아쉬움’, ‘업무의과중과 불확실성으로 인한 혼란’, ‘체력적 소진을 야기하는 근무환경’, ‘외로움 속에서도 나눌 수 없는심리적 어려움’이었다. 둘째, 국내 의료진이 보고한 개선사항 및 요구는 '감염병 재난대응 지침에 대한근무자들 간 소통 활성화', '감염병 대응을 위한 전문센터와 시스템 구축', '실질적인 보상', '심리지원프로그램 제공' 등이었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 학술적, 상담실제적, 그리고 정책적함의에 대하여 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study is to explore the psychosocial difficulties of Korean medical staff during theCOVID-19 outbreak and their needs related to these difficulties. We conducted in-depthinterviews with a total of 14 medical staff in charge of responding to the COVID-19 virus fromJanuary to March 2021. We also analyzed the collected data using Giorgi's phenomenologicalmethod. Our research results are as follows. First, 5 categories, 13 subcategories, and 34semantic units were derived for the psychosocial difficulties of Koean medical staff inCOVID-19. The five specific categories are 'Psychological burden caused by work duties', 'Regretof not being understood', 'Confusion due to work overload and uncertainty', 'Work environmentthat causes physical exhaustion', and 'Psychological difficulties that cannot be shared even inloneliness’. Second, improvements and requests reported by Korean medical staff include‘Activation of communication among workers on infectious disease disaster response guidelines',‘Establishment of specialized centers and systems for responding to infectious diseases',‘Substantial compensation', and ‘Regular psychological support programs'.
