영문 초록

Immobilization after a fracture has a therapeutic aspect of treating the fracture, but has problems such as joint restriction and muscle atrophy. One case was a 64-year-old male with ankle dorsiflexion restriction and ankle and plantar pain after ankle immobilization (splint and cast) for about 6 weeks. He was treated with acupuncture, electronic moxibustion, chuna therapy, and pharmacoupuncture and improved. Another one case was a 52-year-old female who underwent immobilization for 4 weeks after a 5th toe fracture, her pain and gait abnormality improved after acupuncture and chuna therapy.
