덕트화재 예방을 위한 국내외 기준 및 실태 분석

국문 초록

방화구획을 관통하는 덕트는 내부에 고착된 퇴적물로 인한 착화 또는 외부에서 발생한 화재의 화염과 연기를 확산시키는 통로다. 덕트를 통한 화재는 꾸준히 발생하고 있으며, 자체 기류 발생으로 연돌효과가 형성되어 화염 전파속도가 빠르고, 고온의 열기로 인해 신속한 화재 진압이 어려워 화재위험성이 높다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 덕트의화재위험성을 제고하기 위하여 화재사례 분석 및 국내외 법령 및 기준을 비교하고, 현 실태를 분석하여 제도적 개선의 필요성을 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 방화구획 완화 조건으로 인해 방화댐퍼 설치장소에 사각지대가 존재하며, 덕트내부의 유지관리 기준 및 상업용 주방자동소화장치의 설치 기준 등의 예방적 제도가 마련되어야 할 필요성이 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Ducts penetrating the fire compartment are passageways for spreading the flames and smoke of igniting deposits attachedto the inside or fires from outside. Fires through ducts have a fast flame propagation speed and are difficult to extinguishquickly because of the high-temperature heat. Therefore, in this study, to improve the fire risk of ducts, the need forinstitutional improvement is confirmed by analyzing fire cases, comparing domestic and foreign laws and standards, andanalyzing the current situation. As a result, a blind spot is evident in domestic law at the location of the fire damperinstallation because of the mitigating condition of fire compartments. There is also a gap regarding the need to preparepreventive systems such as maintenance standards inside ducts and installation standards for fire suppression systems incommercial restaurant kitchens.
