중국인 유학생의 한국 대학생활 경험에 관한 학습생애사 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 중국인 유학생의 한국 대학생활 경험을 탐색하여 그 의미를 살펴보고, 이를 바탕으로 교육적 방안을 모색하는 데에 목적이 있다.이를 위해 한국 대학에 5년이상 재학 중인 중국인 유학생 4명을 대상으로 자서전적 글쓰기와 심층면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집하였으며,수집된 자료를 귀납적으로 분석하였다.그 결과,중국인 유학생의 한국 대학생활 경험의 의미는 ‘한국 유학의 선택과 동기’,‘새롭고 낯선 환경에서의 적응’,‘한국 대학생활 적응을 위한 과정’,‘한국 유학 생활로 인한 변화’로 나타났다.이러한 결과를 통해 중국인 유학생들은 한국에서의 안정적인 적응을 위해 학업에 더욱 열중하는 것으로 나타났으며,중국인 유학생에게 한국 대학생활은 인생의 목표를 찾아갈 수 있는 기회가 된 것으로 나타났다.이러한 결과의 내용을 바탕으로 국내 외국인 유학생들을 위한 교육적 개선 방안을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study explored Chinese international students’ life experiences at Korean universities to determine appropriate educational plans for them. Data were collected by conducting autobiographical writing and in-depth interviews with six Chinese international students attending Korean universities for more than five years, and the responses were inductively analyzed. Their experiences Korean universities were assessed based on “the choice and motivation of studying in Korea”, “adaptation in a new and unfamiliar environment”, “process of adapting to Korean university life”, and “changes because of Korean student life”. The results, showed that Chinese students were more focused on their studies to enable stable adaptation in Korea, and considered their university life an opportunity to attain their goals. Based on these results, an educational plan for foreign students in Korea was presented.
