영문 초록

The relation between religion and science is complex and sensitive. The confrontation between Christianity and science is analised in the cases of 17th century cosmology and 19th century evolutionary theory. The theses of Whitehead, White, Jr., Needham and Merton are introduced as the positive influences of Christianity on science.
