영문 초록

The objective of this study is to investigate factors affecting survival rate of start-ups operating in rural area. We employ the survival analysis and Korea Enterprise Data in the study. Based on the result, sales, the number of employees, the representative’s experience in the same industry, and innovation capability of the company are found to lower the probability of going out of business. On the other hand, the survival probability of the start-up company decreases as the age of the representative increases.
