한,인도 IT산업의 경쟁력 비교분석에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 한·인도 IT산업의 경쟁력 비교분석을 실시하였다. 한·인도의 IT산업에 대해 국제경쟁력인 무역특화지수, 현시비교우위지수를 측정하고, 기술경쟁력인 연구개발집약도지수, 현시기술우위지수 등을 측정하여 양국 IT산업의 경쟁력을 비교하였다. 분석기간은 2007년-2011년 기간 동안으로 무역경쟁력에 있어서는 제조업을 중심으로, 기술경쟁력에 있어서는 전체 IT산업을 대상으로 분석하였다. 국제경쟁력의 측정결과 먼저 무역특화지수의 경우 한국의 IT산업은 대체로 수출에 특화한 것으로 나타났으며 인도는 수입특화정도가 높은 편으로 나타났다. 현시비교우위지수의 측정결과 한·인도의 IT산업은 모두 비교우위에 있으나 한국 IT산업의 현시비교우위지수의 값이 인도에 비해 높은 수준으로 나타났다. 기술경쟁력의 측정결과 한국의 IT산업 연구개발투자집약도는 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다. 인도 IT산업 연구개발투자집약도는 한국에 비해 매우 낮은 수치이며 대체로 점점 하락하는 추세를 보이고 있다. IT산업 연구개발투자집약도 지수로 볼 때 인도보다 한국의 IT산업은 상당한 우위를 차지하고 있다. 한편 특허자료로 측정한 현시기술우위지수에 있어서는 한국 IT산업의 현시기술우위지수 값이 인도에 비해 낮게 나타나고 있다.

영문 초록

This study compared and analysed the competitive power of the Korean and Indian IT industries. For the study, trade specialization and revealed comparative advantages were measured to examine the international competitive power, as well as the research and development intensity. Also technological advantages were measured to compare the competitive power in the IT industries of the two nations. The period for the study was from 2007 through to 2011, and focus was given on manufacturing to compare the trade competitive power. The IT industry was also analysed to examine the technological competitive power. As a result of measuring the international competitive power, it was discovered that the Korean IT industry was generally specialized towards exports while the Indian IT industry was specialized towards imports. In measuring the revealed comparative advantages, the IT industry of both Korea and India were comparatively advantageous while the Korean value was higher than the Indian value. As a result of measuring the technological competitive power it was discovered that the research and development investment intensity in the Korean IT industry is steadily increasing.
