국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 아동의 학업수행능력에 어머니 양육 행동, 아동의 그릿, 전반적 행복감이 어떠한 직⋅간접적 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 한국아동패널의 11차년도(2018)자료 중 695명의 아동을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 활용하였다. 주요변인들 간의 구조적 관계를 파악하기 위해서 확인적요인분석을 거친 후에 구조방정식 모형을 분석하였고, 각 경로의 직접 및 간접효과를 분석하였으며, 매개효과 검증을 위하여 부트스트래핑을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 어머니 양육행동은 아동의 그릿과 학업수행능력에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동의 그릿은 전반적 행복감에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 아동의 전반적 행복감은 학업수행능력에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 어머니 양육행동이 아동의 그릿과 전반적 행복감을 통해 학업수행능력에 영향을 미치는 경로에서 아동의 그릿과 전반적 행복감의 순차적 이중매개 효과가 나타났다. 결론 아동의 학업수행능력을 향상시키기 위해서는 어머니 양육행동을 통해 아동의 그릿, 전반적 행복감을 향상시키는 것이 중요하며, 어머니 양육행동이 아동의 그릿, 전반적 행복감, 학업수행능력 관계에서 그릿과 전반적 행복감의 매개효과를 확인하고 아동의 학업수행능력 향상을 위한 어머니 양육태도, 아동의 그릿과 전반적 행복감의 중요성을 확인하였다는데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to examine the direct and indirect effects of mother-rearing behavior, children's grit, and overall happiness on children's academic performance. Methods For this purpose, data collected from 695 children among the 11th year (2018) data of the Korean Children's Panel was used. Structural equation models were analyzed to understand the structural relationship between major variables, and the direct and indirect effects of each path were analyzed. Results First, mother-rearing behavior was found to have a positive effect on children's grit and academic performance. Second, children's grit was found to have a positive effect on overall happiness. Third, children's overall happiness was found to have a positive effect on academic performance. Fourth, the sequential double mediating effect of children's grit and overall happiness was found in the path that mother-rearing behavior affects academic performance through children's grit and overall happiness. Conclusions In order to improve children's academic performance, it is important to improve children's grit and overall happiness through maternal parenting behavior. It is meaningful in that it confirmed the effect and confirmed the importance of mother's parenting attitude, children's grit and overall happiness for improving children's academic performance.
