중학생 그릿 요인구조와 발달적 변화에 대한 종단연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 중학생들의 그릿문항과 요인구조를 확인하고 그릿의 하위변인의 종단변화를 탐색하였다. 방법 대구종단연구의 3개년(2017년~2019년) 중학생 2,338명의 자료를 가지고 요인분석, 집중타당성과 판별타당성으로 모형의적합성을 분석하였고, 발달변화는 잠재성장모형으로 탐색하였다. 결과 3차 시점 모두 그릿의 2요인이 타당하였다. 그릿의 하위변인 모두 V형 선형적으로 변화했다. 하위변인 모두 초기값과 변화율에 개인차가 존재했고 변화율 분산에서도 차이가 있었다. 노력의 지속성과 흥미의 일관성 모두 3년 동안 변화 정도의 차이가 존재하였다. 초기값과 변화율 간의 관계는 음수로서 중1의 흥미의 일관성과 노력의 지속성이 낮게 지각하면 2학년으로 갈수록 감소가 빠르게 진행되었다. 결론 중학교 2학년 시기의 급격한 그릿의 하락에 근거하여 중2학년의 학교교육에서 있어서 협력에 기초한 교육과정의 재구조화를실천해야 한다. 그리고 자유학년제의 효과성을 재검토해야 한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study investigated the items and factor structure of grit of middle school students and analyzed the longitudinal change of grit sub-variables. Methods The researcher analyzed 2,338 middle school students’ responses from the Daegu Longitudinal Study data for three years (2017-2019) and implemented factor analysis and model’s goodness of fit through convergent validity and discriminant validity. The potential growth model was also explored. Results At all three years, the second factor of grit was valid. All grit sub-variables were non-linear and V-shaped. The statistical difference was confirmed in the variance of change rate. The researcher found a difference in the degree of change at all three years in persistence of effort and consistency of interest. Conclusions Based on a sharp decline in grit for 8th graders, educators need to implement curriculum restructure based on cooperation in school education. Also, the effectiveness of the free year program should be reexamined.
