국문 초록

화재현장에는 가연물의 종류에 따라 많은 유해물질이 생성된다. 발생하는 유해물질은 대부분 소방대원의 건강에 악영향을 주는 독성물질을 포함하고 있으며, 이러한 직무 환경적 노출로 소방대원의 건강과 생명은 더욱 높은 빈도로 위협 받고 있는 실정이다. 특히, 화재 진화가 이루어진 후 화재 조사단계에 투입되는 화재조사관들의 경우 업무의 편리를 위해 호흡보호구를 착용하지 않고 업무를 진행하는 사례가 있어 위험한 화학물질에 그대로 노출되고 있다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 화재조사관들을 대상으로 현장실태조사를 통해 업무상의 문제점에 대한 원인을 파악하고, 화재조사 과정에 있어 필요한 장비의 성능을 도출하여, 화재조사관의 사용하는 호흡보호구 및 통신기기의 기능을 개선하기 위한 장비의 개발 목표 설정을 위해 연구를 수행하였다.

영문 초록

Depending on the type of combustion, several harmful substances are generated in a fire scene. Most of the harmful substances generated contain toxic substances that adversely affect a fireman’s health. Thus, a fireman’s health and life are risked very frequently due to the unsafe job environment. Particularly, there are cases when firemen are called for fire investigation after the extinction of fire without wearing a respiratory protector for work convenience. Thus, without appropriate protection, they are exposed to dangerous chemical substances which is a serious problem. Hence, this study tries to understand the work problems of fire investigators through a questionnaire survey, and the performance of the equipment needed for the fire investigation process has been examined. This study aims to establish the equipment development direction for improving the functionality of the respiratory protectors and communication devices used by fire investigators.
