글쓰기 교육에 참여한 지구과학교육 전공 교사들의 SSI 교수에 대한 인식 및 글쓰기에 나타난 논증 구조 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 SSI 글쓰기 교육에 참여한 지구과학교육 전공 교사들의 SSI 교수에 대한 인식과 글쓰기에 나타난 논증 구조를 분석하여 글쓰기 교육의 효과를 탐색해보았다. 방법 이를 위하여 지구과학교육전공 교사 8명을 대상으로 5차시에 걸쳐 SSI 글쓰기 교육을 실시하였으며, 교육 시간 이외에도 3회의 글쓰기 과제를 제시하여 글쓰기에 나타난 논증 구조의 발달 및 특징을 분석하였다. SSI 교수에 대한 인식을 살펴보기 위해 SSI 글쓰기 교육 전후에 설문을 실시하여 대응표본 t-검증을 이용해 분석하였다. 심층 면담을 통해 SSI 교수에 대한 인식과 SSI 글쓰기 경험에 대해 분석하였다. 결과 SSI 교수에 대한 인식 설문 분석 결과, ‘SSI 및 SSI 교수에의 관심과 이해’와 ‘SSI 교수의 필요성 인식과 실행 의지’ 두 영역 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 이러한 결과는 면담을 통해서도 확인되었는데, SSI 교육에 대해 이해하고, 각자의 수업 경험이나 상황에 따라 수업에 다양하게 응용하려는 모습을 보였다. 또한, 교육 참여 후 작성한 글쓰기는 논증 요소가 다양하고 논증이 강화된 형태를 보였다. 주제마다 의사결정에 사용한 가치를 확인하였고, SSI의 특성이 의사결정에 영향을 주어 논증적 글쓰기에 반영되는 것을 알 수 있었다. 결론 SSI 글쓰기 교육은 지구과학교육 전공 교사들의 SSI 교수에 대한 인식과 논증적 사고에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.

영문 초록

Objectives In this study, the changes in perceptions of SSI teaching among earth science teachers who participated in SSI writing education training and the argumentation structure shown in writing was analyzed. Methods It was targeted at 8 earth science teachers, and during five sessions, the training was conducted on SSI education and writing using the argumentation structure. The perception of SSI teaching was analyzed through a pre-post survey, and the development and characteristics of the argumentation structure shown in the writing process were analyzed. Results After the teachers participating in the training, the element of argumentation in writing increased, and in the interview, they showed an understanding of the effectiveness of writing using the argumentation structure and planning how to apply it to the class. In addition, the values used in decision-making were different depending on the position of SSI, And we could see that the characteristics of SSI influenced the decision-making process, which were reflected in argumentative writing.
