국문 초록

본 연구는 키틀러의 기록시스템 개념을 이론적 토대로 하여 디지털 원주민에 맞는디지털 미디어교육의 방향을 찾고자 했다. 이를 위해 디지털 미디어의 특성과 이를받아들이는 두 이용자 집단(디지털 원주민, 디지털 이민자)의 인식 차이를 살펴보고, 디지털 미디어와의 접속을 통해 청소년의 주체가 어떤 방식으로 형성되고 있는지를 연구했다. 그 결과, 이 연구에서는 디지털 미디어교육의 방향성을 구체화하려는 일련의 시도중에서도 기술적 속성으로 인해 달라지는 세대 간의 인식 차이를 확인했고, 정보기계로서 청소년들의 주체 구성 방식을 능동/수동의 측면에서 고찰함으로써 디지털 이민자 세대가 갖고 있지 않은, 디지털 원주민 세대가 스스로 체득한 능동적 정보기계로서의 역량을 조명했다는 데 의의가 있다. 이는 인간의 자율적이고 자생적인 능력이라는 점에서 새로운 미디어교육 논의의 토대가 될 수 있을 것으로 보인다. 또, 디지털 기록시스템 속에서 형성된 미디어교육 담론을 통해 현재의 디지털 미디어교육이 갖는한계와 시사점을 도출했다.

영문 초록

Based on Kittler’s concept of ‘Aufschreibesysteme(Discourse networks)’, this study seeks to examine the differences in perception of the digital media created by digital discourse networks, youth as information machines, and the society’s discourse on digital media education. As a result, the first confirmed the epistemological disconnection between the digital natives and the digital immigrants. Unlike the digital immigrants, the digital natives accepted the digital media without obstacles, and there was no difference between the online and the offline information acquisition, trust, and making social relationship. Second, it was confirmed that the digital natives are being formed as active/passive digital information machines. In particular, it is noteworthy that the digital media is used to solve problems caused by the digital media in the active aspect. Finally, social discourse on the digital media education was influenced by stereotypes about the digital media and the influence of capital power. This study confirmed the differences in perceptions between generations that change due to technological properties among a series of attempts to materialize the direction of the digital media education, and by examining the ways in which adolescent’s subjects as information machines are constructed from the active/ passive aspect, the digital immigrant has. It is meaningful in a way that it sheds light on the capabilities as an active information machine that the digital natives have acquired on their own.
