대학간 교양교육 공유 협력 현황과 과제

국문 초록

최근 우리나라 대학들은 국내외적 여러 도전 앞에서 질적 도약을 요구받는 상황에 처해있으며 특히 수도권 외 지역 대학에서의 위기의식은 더욱 높은 것이 현실이다. 이에 본 연구는 지역 대학이 대학간 교양교육의 공유 협력을 통해 고등교육의 본연적 역할에 충실하면서도 각 대학 교육의 강점과 자원을 공유하여 지금의 위기에 대응하는 방안의 실제를 제시하고자 하는 목적으로 현재 우리나라 지역 대학간 의 공유와 협력의 현황과 과제를 탐색해보았다. 이를 위해 먼저 교양교육의 본연의 가치를 고찰해보고 오늘날의 고등교육 현실에서 그 가치를 훼손하고 있는 요소들을 교양교육의 구조적 문제와 교양교육 내적 요소로 나누어 검토한 후, 현재 진행 중인 대학간 공유협력 사례를 세 가지 공유대학 모형과 세 가지 하위 실천 방안으로 나누어 소개하며 그 과정에서 실증적으로 나타난 문제를 중심으로 향후 과제를 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Recently, in a situation where Korean universities are being asked to take a qualitative leap forward in the face of various domestic and international challenges, the reality is that the awareness of crisis at universities outside the metropolitan area is becoming higher. Therefore, this study is one way to respond to such a crisis, in which local universities share the strengths and resources of each university s education while being faithful to the original role of higher education through sharing and cooperation of liberal education between universities. To this end, the present status and tasks of sharing and cooperation among local universities in Korea were explored in a theoretical and empirical way. First, we examine the intrinsic value of liberal education and divide the elements that are undermining it in today s higher education reality into structural problems of liberal education and internal elements of liberal education. Second, we introduce the current status of sharing and cooperation between local universities dividing it into three sharing university models and three sub-action plans. In the process, tasks to be solved were discussed, focusing on the empirical problems.
