중학교 수학영재 학생들의 말이 없는 증명을 활용한 시각적 표현의 이해 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 중학교 수학영재 학생들이 말이 없는 증명을 이해하고 새로운 말이 없는 증명을 개발하는 과정을 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 학생들의 학습 수준에서 탐구할 수 있는 말이 없는 증명들을 과제로 제시하였으며, 학생들의 학습지, 활동보고서, 소감문을 수집하여 귀납적으로 분석하였다. 결과 말이 없는 증명을 이해하는 과정에서 특수한 상황의 결과를 일반적인 결과로 생각하는 유형의 학생들과 특수한 상황에서의 이해 과정을 일반적인 상황에 적용하여 해석하는 유형의 학생들이 있었다. 말이 없는 증명을 개발하는 과정에서 지속적으로 오류를 수정하는 모습과 결과를 일반화하여 새로운 결과를 도출하는 모습을 보였다. 결론 말이 없는 증명을 이해하는 과정에서 과도한 일반화를 보이는 학생들과 유추적 사고를 통해 일반화하는 학생들이 있었다. 또한 말이 없는 증명을 개발하는 과정에서 학생들은 유추적 사고를 통해 확장된 범위에서의 새로운 결과물을 산출하였다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the understanding the Proof Without Words and developing a new Proof Without Words of the mathematically gifted students in the middle school. Methods To do this, Proofs Without Words that can be explored at the students learning level were presented as tasks. And students worksheets, activity reports, and testimonials were collected and analyzed inductively. Results In the process of understanding the Proof Without Words, there were the type of students who considered the result of a special situation as a general result, and the type of students who interpreted the understanding process in a special situation by applying it to a general situation. In the process of developing a Proof Without Words, it showed that student continuously corrected errors and new results were derived by generalizing the results. Conclusions There were students who showed overgeneralization in the process of understanding the Proof Without Words, and students who generalized through analogical thinking. Also, in the process of developing the Proof Without Words, the students showed that they could produce new results through analogical thinking.
