청소년의 스마트폰 과의존과 주의집중문제가 학업무기력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 청소년의 스마트폰 과의존, 주의집중문제와 학업무기력의 관계를 규명하는데 있다. 방법 이를 위해 한국아동⋅청소년 패널조사(KCYPS) 2018의 2차년도(중2) 자료를 활용하였고, 최종 분석 대상자는 2,384명이다. 스마트폰 과의존, 주의집중문제와 학업무기력의 관계를 확인하기 위해 SPSS 23.0을 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관분석, 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 결과 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스마트폰 과의존과 학업무기력은 정적상관을 보였으며, 주의집중문제와 학업무기력도 정적상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 스마트폰 과의존과 학업무기력의 관계에서 주의집중문제가 부분매개효과를 나타내었다. 결론 이러한 결과는 스마트폰의 과다한 사용이 일상화된 청소년들이 스마트폰 과의존에서 벗어나 학업무기력을 극복하고 학업에 집중하며, 학업무기력의 보호⋅동기 요인으로 매개할 수 있는 주의집중문제를 고려한 교육과 중재가 유용할 수 있음을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between adolescents smartphone overdependence, attention problems, and academic helplessness. Methods The data of 2,384 middle school students(Second grade) in the second year of the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS) 2018 were analyzed. Correlation, frequency, the technical statistics analysis, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted to confirm the relationship between smartphone overdependence, attention problems, and academic helplessness. Results The results of this study are as follows. First, smartphone overdependence and academic work history showed a positive correlation, attention-focused problems and academic work history also showed a positive correlation. Second, in the relationship between smartphone overdependence and academic helplessness, the attention problems concentration showed a partial mediating effect. Conclusions These results suggest that education and intervention considering the issue of attention concentration that teenagers who have become routine in using smartphones can overcome their academic helplessness, focus on their studies, and mediate as factors for protecting and motivating academic skills may be useful.
