국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 간호대학생의 생명의료윤리 의식, 좋은 죽음인식, 연명치료지식 및 사전의료의향서 지식이 연명의료중단에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위한 조사연구이다. 방법 연구대상자는 경기도 소재 일개 대학교 간호학과에 재학 중인 145명을 대상으로 연명의료중단에 대한 태도 관련 변인을 측정하기 위하여 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 2021년 7월 17일부터 9월 17일까지 자료수집하였다. 자료분석은 SPSS WIN 19.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술통계, independent t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, Multiple regression analysis로 분석하였다. 결과 본 연구결과, 연구 대상자의 생명의료윤리 의식과 연명의료중단에 대한 태도 간에 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었다. 대상자의 연명의료중단에 대한 태도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 생명의료윤리 의식(β=-.443, p<.001)과 종교(β=.196, p<.014)로 나타났으며, 총 설명력은 17.5%였다(F=8.617, p<.001). 결론 본 연구를 통하여 간호대학생의 연명의료중단에 대한 합리적인 인식을 제고하고 연명의료중단에 대한 태도를 정립하기 위한 교육프로그램개발의 필요성을 제언한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to investigate levels of consciousness of biomedical ethics, perception to good death, knowledge regarding advance directives, withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment, to examine relationship among them, and then to investigate predictors affecting of withdrawal of life-sustaining in nursing students. Methods The survey participants were 145 students at the college of nursing in Gyeonggi-do. The data were collected through self-report questionnaires from July 17 to September 17 in 2021. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and multiple regression analysis in SPSS ver. 19.0. Results Consciousness of biomedical ethics and withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment were related negatively among variables. In the multiple regression analysis, consciousness of biomedical ethics and religion were influential factors significantly associated with withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment Those factors explained 17.5% of withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment in nursing students. Conclusions The findings indicated that more study will be needed to explore the factors influencing withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment and to develop education program for reinforcing a positive death attitude and withdrawal of life-sustaining treatment among nursing students.
