국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 대학교 교양 음악수업에서 학습 동기 유발을 증진하는 음악수업 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 방법 학습 동기 관련 문헌 연구를 통해 ARCS 학습 동기 모델의 주요 범주인 주의집중, 관련성, 자신감, 만족감을 학습 방법에 적용하여 러시아 5인조의 생애와 음악 작품을 사례로 교양 음악수업의 동기 유발 방법을 고찰하였다. 결과 음악 비전공자로서 역경을 극복한 러시아 5인조의 생애와 음악을 통해 ARCS 학습 동기 모델의 범주인 1) 주의집중(호기심을 유발하는 설화 활용), 2) 관계성(학습자의 고민과 연계 가능한 역경 극복 이야기 활용), 3) 자신감(학습자 수준에 적합한 도전적인 음악 게임 활용), 4) 만족감(습득한 음악 지식과 기술을 활용한 공연)을 감상, 가창, 기악, 작곡 활동이 포함된 음악수업 방안으로 제시하였다. 결론 이러한 학습 동기 유발 방법을 적용한 음악수업은 학습 동기 증진을 위한 음악수업 방안의 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study is aimed at providing measures for teaching approach in music appreciation class through activities that trigger learning motivation in order to remedy students lack of learning motivation. Methods Keller s ARCS learning motivation model was selected through a literature study on learning motivation, and methods to increase motivation in music education based on the main factors of attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction were explored. Results To promote self-motivated participatory learning in music activities, a music study plan was proposed based on the core musical activites of listening, composing, singing and instrument playing which use “the Five” and their musical works to address each of ARCS learning motivation factors: 1) attention (using fables that arouse curiosity); 2) relevance (using stories of overcoming adversities that relate to learners personal worries); 3) confidence (using challenging music games); and 4) satisfaction (performing using acquired musical knowledge and skills). Conclusions Music activities applying this learning motivation method can be an alternative method for learners who have difficulties with or who lack of interest in music appreciation class, and can be used as basic data for music education that promote learning motivation.
