영문 초록

This study was performed to analyze the effect of aromatic essence penetration when small diameter wood was applied for the use of practical wood products. Wooden totem poles and artistic wood boxes were manufactured, then results of density, shrinkage rate, check and deformation were as follows. Air-dried density of aromatic essence penetrated wooden products were higher than that of untreated products, but the type of aromatic essence showed no significant effects. Aromatic essence treated wooden products showed somewhat higher shrinkage rate than the untreated products, showing trivial difference and no tendency. Regardless of treatment and type of the aromatic essence, the stage of check was 3 stage without the difference of treatment and the cross-sectional deformation.
