국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 중학교부터 고등학교 시기까지의 다문화 청소년의 학업중단위험 변화 특성과 영향 변인을 탐색하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 다문화청소년패널연구(MAPS: Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study) 5개년도(4차, 2014년~8차, 2018년) 자료의 1,004명을 분석 대상으로 하였으며, 학업중단위험의 변화궤적과 우울, 이중문화수용태도, 학업성취, 양육태도(감독, 방임), 교사와의 관계, 집단괴롭힘 피해경험의 동시 및 지연효과를 확인하기 위해 잠재성장모형 분석 방법을 사용하였다. 결과 첫째, 다문화 청소년의 학업중단위험은 중학교 시기부터 고등학교 시기까지 선형적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 다문화 청소년의 학업중단위험에 대한 시간 의존변수인 우울, 이중문화수용태도, 학업성취, 양육태도(감독, 방임), 교사와의 관계, 집단괴롭힘 피해경험의 동시 및 지연효과를 검증한 결과, 시기별 차이는 있지만 우울, 이중문화수용태도, 학업성취, 부모감독, 부모방임, 교사와의 관계의 동시효과가 확인되었다. 그리고 부모방임, 교사와의 관계는 학업중단위험에 영향을 미치는 지연효과가 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 결론 본 연구는 다문화 청소년의 학업중단위험을 낮추기 위해 다문화 청소년을 위한 심리적, 학업적 지원뿐 아니라 부모, 교사를 대상으로 한 교육 및 지원이 필요함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives The current study aimed to analysis changes and to explore affecting factors related to risk in school dropout from middle school to high school. Methods 1,004 adolescents panel data from 5 years of MAPS(Multicultural Adolescents Panel Study) in 2014 to 2018 utilized a Latent Growth Modeling to explore the changes and affecting factors in school dropout. Results First, it was found that risk in school dropout of adolescents from multicultural family increased linearly from middle school to highschool. Second, depression, muticultural acceptability attitudes, academic achievements, perceived parental monitoring and neglecting, and the relationship with teacher were showed contemporaneous effects while perceived parental neglecting and the relationship with teacher showed lagged effects over the period between middle school to high school. Conclusions Thus, it suggests that the necessity to support and educate parents and teachers regard to factors were found to lower risk in school dropout of adolescents from multicultural family.
