국문 초록

목적 이 논문은 지혜를 정의하고 이를 기초로 해서 지혜교육과 지혜교육 모형을 개념화하는 것이다. 방법 이것은 개념적 명료화를 통한 철학적 연구 방법이다. 이를 위하여 연구자는 우선 서로 반대되는 지혜와 어리석음의 대척선을 이용하여 이 속에서 지혜를 개념화하였다. 이때 지혜란 지식과는 다른 차원에 위치하는 것으로서 삶의 질을 끌어올리는 인간의 고차적 능력이다. 결과 이 안에서 지혜교육은 어리석음에 빠져있는 인간을 지혜로움의 세계로 나아가도록 도와주는 일련의 총체적 활동이다. 이러한 지혜교육은 현대교육과 매우 다른 패러다임이다. 또한 지혜교육 모형은 교사는 학생들을 어리석음에서 지혜로움으로 나아가도록 중재하는 깨우침과 학생들은 교사의 도움을 통하여 지혜를 획득하는 깨달음을 기본 축으로 설계되어 있다. 이와 같은 지혜교육 모형은 현대교육 패러다임의 교수-학습 장치와 다른 차원에 위치한다. 오늘날 지혜를 가르치고 배우지 않는 교육 관행에 지혜교육의 세계는 교육의 또 다른 차원을 열어주고 있다. 결론 지혜교육이란 교사가 학생들의 지혜적음에서 지혜많음으로 나아가도록 중재하는 모든 교육 활동의 총화다. 그러니 지혜교육의 프로그램과 방법론을 더욱 구체화해야 하는 후속 과제를 우리 앞에 남겨 놓고 있다 하겠다.

영문 초록

Objectives This paper is to define wisdom and conceptualize education for wisdom and model of education for wisdom based on it. Methods This is a method of philosophical research by conceptual clarification. To this end, I first conceptualized wisdom by using the opposite lines of wisdom and foolishness. In this case, wisdom is located on a different level from knowledge, and is a higher human ability to raise the quality of life. Results In this context, education for wisdom is a series of holistic activities that help students who are immersed in foolishness into the world of wisdom. Such education for wisdom is a paradigm very different from modern education. In addition, the model of education for wisdom is designed on the basis of mental awakening, where the teacher mediates students to transfer from foolishness to wisdom, and the enlightenment that students acquire wisdom through the help of the teacher. Such a model of education for wisdom is located on a different level from the teaching-learning device of the modern education paradigm. Today, the world of education for wisdom opens up another dimension of education to the teaching practice without teaching and learning of wisdom. Conclusions Education for wisdom is the sum total of all educational activities that intervene to move students from less wisdom to more wisdom. In addition, it can be said that the follow-up task to further detail the program and methodology of education for wisdom is left before us.
