국문 초록

목적 이 연구에서는 초등학교 음악과 및 타 교과 다문화 내용에 관한 교육과정 및 교과서 분석을 통해 다문화 음악교육 개선 방향을 모색한다. 방법 이를 위하여 문헌 고찰을 통해 다문화 음악교육의 개념을 정의하고 분석 기준을 세워 음악과 및 타 교과 교육과정과 교과서 내용을 분석하였다. 결과 음악의 교육과정 및 교과서 내용이 일회성 노래 부르기나 단순 참여 활동 등으로 간략히 제시되어 있는 반면 사회과, 도덕과는 다문화 교육은 각 문화의 고유성과 개별성을 전제로 상호문화교육 관점을 강조한다. 또한 단순한 참여에서 시작하여 구체적 실천 행동까지 연계성을 가지고 접근하고 있다. 결론 사회과와 도덕과의 분석 내용을 토대로 시사점을 도출하면, 첫째, 다문화 음악교육의 개념을 재정립해야 한다. 둘째, 음악과 교육과정 상 다문화 관련 요소가 체계적으로 제시되어야 한다. 셋째, 우리 음악에 대한 문화 정체성을 확립하여야 한다는 결론에 도달했다.

영문 초록

Objectives The study aims to find the direction for improvement in multicultural music education through analysis on curriculum and textbooks of elementary school music and other multicultural subjects. Methods To this end, the study analyzed curriculum and textbook contents of music and other subjects by setting up the analysis standards and defining the concepts of multicultural music education based on literature review. Results While music curriculum and textbook contents briefly introduce one-time sing-a-song or simple participatory activities, social studies and moral subjects emphasize intercultural education point of view based on each culture’s originality and individuality. In addition, they have a different approach starting from a simple participation leading to specific practical actions. Conclusions Drawing implications from the analysis on social studies and moral subjects, first, multicultural music education needs to redefine its concept; second, multicultural elements should be presented in the music education curriculum systematically; and third, the cultural identity of our music should be established, as a conclusion.
