At all times, east and west, the functions of houses primarily not only for daily life but also for residence. And the house represents the most fundamental and personal form between human beings and the world around it. Therefore, the house is recognized as a representative product of the social and philosophical cultural formations. The house occupies a special place in the Russian-Eurasian culture. The functions of the house are same as in the othre cultural regions, but they are more important to the people who had to live in a harsh and barren natural environment. Ikon as a indispensable element of the Izabas has brought russian people to a special values of orthodoxy, beyond the meaning of protection and rest. After the Europeanization in the 18th century by Peter the Great, the western aristocratic houses became a model of russian aristocratic residence, and the most representative house – ‘Komunalka’ after the revolution has the meaning as the miniature of the Soviet utopia world. The movable homes of central asian for nomads and siberian ethnic groups, such as yurts and tents , preserve the residential form and vitality that have adapted to the harsh natural environment.
