대학생의 핵심역량이 학업성취에 미치는 영향에 대한 학업적 자기효능감의 매개효과

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 대학생의 핵심역량과 학업성취 간의 영향관계에서 학업적 자기효능감의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 방법 서울 소재 H대학 4학년 학부 재학생 318명을 대상으로 H대학에서 자체 개발한 핵심역량 2020년 조사데이터, H대학 학부교육실태조사 2020년 조사데이터, H대학 내부 학사자료 2021년 데이터를 사용하였다. 각 척도의 신뢰성을 측정하기 위해 크론바흐 알파 신뢰검증을 실시하였다. 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Baron & Kenny의 3단계 검증방법을 활용하였다. 결과 핵심역량과 학업적 자기효능감, 학업성취와 학업적 자기효능감은 정(+)의 상관관계가 있고, 핵심역량과 학업성취의 영향관계에서 학업적 자기효능감의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 결론 대학생의 학업성취는 그들의 핵심역량에 의해 크게 영향을 받지만, 그 자체가 학업성취라는 결과로 이어질 뿐만 아니라 ‘학업적 자기효능감’을 통해 학업성취로 이어진다는 점도 충분히 인식할 필요가 있다. 나아가, 대학생의 자기효능감을 직접적으로 높일 수 있는 다양한 프로그램을 대학생들에게 제공해야함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study tries to examine the mediating effect of academic self - efficacy in the relationship between the core competency of college and academic achievement. Methods The participants in the study is composed of 318 undergraduate students at the Hansung University, Korea. This study uses the HS-CESA 2020 data, K-NSSE 2020 data, and 2021 Hansung university education data. Cronbach alpha test was carried out to measure the reliability of each scale. To verify the mediating effect, Baron & Kenny s three-stage verification method was used. Results Academic self-efficacy was able to identify the complete mediation effect in the relationship between the core competencies of college students and academic achievement. Conclusions The university needs to recognize that the academic achievement of college students is greatly affected by their core competencies, but it is not only leading to the result of academic achievement, but also leads to academic achievement through ‘academic self efficacy’. Furthermore, it is necessary to provide college students with a lot of programs to enhance the self-efficacy of college students.
