유아의 자아존중감, 회복탄력성, 어머니 양육태도와 유아 행복의 구조관계 분석

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 유아의 행복에 영향을 미치는 변인들을 선정하고 이들 간의 구조적 관계를 분석하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 전라북도 G, I, J시에 소재한 규모와 지역적 특성이 비슷한 유아교육기관에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 234명과 그들의 어머니 234명을 대상으로 유아 행복 관련 변인을 측정하기 위한 검사를 실시하였다. 결과 유아행복에 대한 관련 변인들 전체가 83.6%의 설명력을 보여, 유아행복에 있어 자아존중감, 회복탄력성, 어머니 양육태도가 중요한 변인임을 확인할 수 있었다. 첫째, 자아존중감은 유아행복에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 회복탄력성은 유아행복에 대해 직접적인 경로에서는 유의하지 않는 것으로 나타났으나 회복탄력성과 행복의 상관관계는 유의미한 것으로 나타났다. 어머니 양육태도는 직접적인 영향은 미치지 않았으나 자아존중감을 통하여 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니 양육태도와 유아행복과의 관계에서 자아존중감이 완전매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 어머니 양육태도는 자아존중감을 매개로 하여 유아행복에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 본 연구를 통해 유아행복에서 유아 내적변인 중 자아존중감, 회복탄력성과 어머니 변인인 어머니 양육태도와 유아행복 간의 관계를 살펴보고 이들 변인이 유아행복에 미치는 직접경로와 간접경로를 구체적으로 밝혔으며 유아행복에 미치는 변인을 실증적으로 확인하였다. 또한 자아존중감의 매개효과를 확인하였고, 자아존중감의 중요성을 재차 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study examines the effects of child’s self-esteem, resilience, mother s parenting attitude on young children’s happiness. Methods The subjects of this study are 234 five-year-olds and their mothers who are attending at early childhood educational institutions in G, I, and J cities in Jeollabuk-do. Results The results of this study are as follows.First, self-esteem of children has a direct effect on their happiness. However, children’s resilience does not directly affect children’s happiness. Mother s parenting attitude has no direct effect, but indirectly affected through child’s self-esteem. Second, child’s self-esteem plays a full role in the relationship between mother s parenting attitude and child’s happiness. Conclusions This study examines the relationship between child’s self-esteem, resilience, mother s parenting attitude and child’s happiness. It is meaningful to identify the pathway in detail and to empirically identify the variables that affect child’s happiness.
