국문 초록

전자교과서는 1990년대 현 사회의 패러다임 변화에 따른 교육의 새로운 대안으로 제시된 이래, 최근의 컴퓨터 기술의 발전으로 도입에 당면해 있다. 그러나 이에 대한 실질적인 기초 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 이에 본 연구는 전자교과서의 성격을 학습자의 자기주도적 학습을 지원하는 형태로 규정하고, 학습자의 자발적인 참여를 위한 전자교과서의 설계 방안을 논의하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전자교과서의 개념을 간단히 정리하여 보고, 전자 교과서의 특성, 유형을 살펴보고, 현황 및 문제점을 간단히 짚어보았다. 그리고 학습 동기(ARCS) 이론과 최근 주목받고 있는 몰입(flow) 이론의 개념과 구성 요인 등을 검토하였고, 이를 토대로 앞으로 개발될 전자 교과서에서 고려해야 할 점을 기술적 측면과 내용 구성 체제 측면에서 각각 전망해 보았다. 컴퓨터 관련 기술의 발달과 함께 전자교과서의 모습은 계속해서 변화와 발전을 해 나갈 것이다. 이러한 전자교과서 개발에 있어 본 연구는 기초 연구의 성격을 띤다고 할 수 있다.

영문 초록

We face up to introduce the electronic textbook in education on the ground of developing the computer technology, since it had been suggested an alternative idea in education for modern paradigm-shift in 1990s. but, there is insufficient in the substantial and basic research for the electronic textbook. Hereupon, this research aims to show the guideline for the development of the electronic textbook to lead participation on the learner s own initiative, on the assumption that the electronic textbook supports the self-leading learning. For this, the conception of the electronic textbook is identified, the feature of the electronic textbook and the various kinds of the electronic textbook are classified, the present state and problems of the development of the electronic textbook is investigated. And then, the conception and components of the learning motivation theory(ARCS) and the flow(optimal) experience theory, which is watched with keen interest recently, is presented. Consequently, on the basis of this, several ways in each aspect of the computer technology and the system how to consist of learning contents are suggested. We have to keep in mind these as we develop the electronic textbook from now on. This research is one of the basic research for developing the electronic textbook.
