국문 초록

본 연구는 유아 컴퓨터 활동에서 사회적 능력별 집단 구성에 따른 사회적 상호작용이 어떠한 지를 알아보는 것을 목적으로 하여, 이를 통해 유아 컴퓨터 활동 시 사회적 상호작용을 촉진시키는 효과적인 집단 구성방법에 대한 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 연구대상은 만 5세 유아 36명으로 평균연령은 5년 9개월이다. 연구결과 첫째, 컴퓨터 활동 집단구성에 따른 유아의 사회적 상호작용은 전체적으로 긍정적 상호작용이 부정적 상호작용보다 매우 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 컴퓨터 활동 집단구성에 따른 긍정적 상호작용은 각 집단구성에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 사회적 능력이 높은 유아와 낮은 유아가 함께 활동한 집단이 다른 집단에 비해 긍정적 상호작용의 빈도가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 컴퓨터 활동 집단 구성에 따른 부정적 상호작용은 각 집단구성에 따라 유의미한 차이를 보였다.

영문 초록

This study was to find out how young children socially interact according to the grouping by their social competence in computer activities. Subject were thirty-six 5-year-olds at 3 public kindergarten classrooms in Jeonbuk Province. The instrument for children s social competence was the Young Children s Social Competence Instrument. The Kid Pix Studio and ‘Orly s Draw -A- Story were CD-ROM titles used for discovery learning in computer activities. The observation tool was used to analyze young children s social interaction in computer activities, The subjects were assigned into one of three groups by their social competence. And their social interactions shown during computer activities were observed for five weeks. The results of this study are as follows: First, regarding overall social interaction, positive interactions were much higher than negative interactions in computer activities. And children s social interactions showed significant difference according to the grouping by social competence. Second, the positive interactions were observed in the order of suggesting, asking and accepting. And children s positive interactions showed significant difference according to the grouping by their social competence. Third, the negative interactions were observed in the order of ordering and demanding, declining, and blaming, And children s negative interactions showed significant difference according to the grouping by their social competence.
