국문 초록

목적 이 연구에서는 체육교사의 관계성지지와 공동체 의식 및 학습참여의 관계를 파악하고자 하였다. 방법 이를 위해 J 지역에 소재하고 있는 중학생 362명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 기술 분석과 신뢰도 분석, 확인적 요인분석을 통해 타당도와 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 이후 변인 간의 상관관계분석과 경로분석을 실시하였다. 결과 첫째, 체육교사의 관계성지지는 학생들의 공동체 의식에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 체육교사의 관계성지지는 학생들의 학습참여에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 학생들의 공동체 의식은 학습참여에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 체육교사의 관계성지지와 공동체 의식 및 학습참여는 인과관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 체육교사의 관계성지지는 학생들의 공동체 의식 및 학습참여를 높일 수 있다. 이를 위해 체육교사는 관계성을 지지하는 학습환경의 제공과 교수⋅학습 전략을 모색하여 학생들의 학습참여 및 사회성 함양을 위해 노력할 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study investigated the relationship between physical education (PE) teachers’ social support, sense of community, and learning participation. Methods Data were collected from 362 middle school students located in Area J. The validity and reliability of the collected data were verified through descriptive, reliability, and confirmatory factor analyses using the SPSS 23.0 program. Correlation and path analyses between variables were then conducted. Results First, the social support of PE teachers was found to have a positive effect on students’ sense of community. Second, the social support was found to have a positive effect on students’ learning participation. Third, students’ sense of community was found to have a positive effect on learning participation. Fourth, a causal relationship was found between PE teachers’ social support, sense of community, and learning participation. Conclusions The social support of PE teachers can increase students’ sense of community and learning participation. To do so, it is necessary for PE teachers to be provided with a learning environment conducive to social support and seek teaching/learning strategies to promote learning participation of students and their social skills.
