보편적 학습설계 수업 실천사례에 대한 질적 연구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구에서는 초등 수학 교과를 중심으로 보편적 학습설계 수업 실행사례를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 보편적 학습설계 수업 실천과정과 수업의 특징에 대해 규명하였다. 방법 이를 위하여 실행연구를 실시하고 실행연구에 참여한 초등교사 2명을 연구참여자로 선정한 후 심층 면담과 참여관찰, 반성적 글쓰기를 통해 질적 연구를 실시하였다. 결과 수업 실행 사례 분석 결과, 연구참여자들은 수업을 사전단계와 실행단계로 나누어 실행하였으며 수업에 보편적 학습설계의 원리를 적용하였다. 보편적 학습설계 수업의 특징으로는 모든 학생을 위한 학생중심수업, 학생주도성이 발휘되는 수업, 과정중심 평가가 이루어지는 수업, 교사의 지속적인 성찰이 이루어지는 수업 등을 제시할 수 있다. 결론 보편적 학습설계 수업을 통하여 존재의 고유성과 차별성을 최대한 존중할 수 있으며 학생들이 잠재가능성을 최대한 발휘하도록 지원할 수 있다. 보편적 학습설계의 원리를 구현하기 위해서는 시도나 국가 수준의 교육과정 관련 정책에 포함할 필요가 있으며 보편적 학습설계 수업을 정착시키기 위한 제도적 지원이 필요하다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purposes of this study were to analyze the elementary school mathematics classes applying universal design for learning and specify the processes and characteristics of the classes. Methods Researchers conducted an action study and selected two elementary school teachers who participated in the action study as research participants. A qualitative study was conducted through in-depth interview, participatory observation, and reflective writing. Results The classes consisted of pre-stage and an execution stage. The principles of universal design for learning were applied to the classes. The classes were characterized as student-centered classes for all students, classes pulling out student agency, classes conducting process-based evaluation, and classes in which teachers continuously reflect. Conclusions Through the classes applying universal design for learning, the uniqueness and differentiation of existence can be respected as much as possible, and students can be supported to show their full potential. In order to implement the principle of universal design for learning, it is necessary to include it in policies related to the curriculum at the provincial or national level, and institutional support is needed to activate the classes applying universal design for learning.
