영문 초록

This study articulates modern Mongolian women’s political life activity, their participation In parliament elections, reasons why Mongolian women do not well engage in politics. Also we discussed women quota system. The purpose of this study was to determine why women should participate in political life, to define current situation of Mongolian women’s participation in politics, to clarify the reasons why Mongolian women do not well engage in politics and to suggest its improvements. In our study we used documentations on parliament Elections of Mongolia, surveys and datas which were carried out by International organizations and State agencies and Non-State organizations. The result of the study showed the institutional problems should be improved in order to minimize the constraints of political participation of Mongolian women and to lead political participation of Mongolian women. First, women s quota system should be expanded in the electoral system to increase the proportional representation ratio, and women s political participation opportunities should be expanded. Through these opportunities, the entry of Mongolian women into the system should be expanded, and the proportion should be about 30%. Only then can we protect the human rights of all Mongol women and pursue their rights. To sum it up, in order to improve the status of women in the political world by introducing changes to the culture, its processes and its institutional structures. Recognizing and using these opportunities to their advantage that women are able to contribute to the political life and democracy in Mongolia.
