영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze effect of residential characteristics of elderly single person households on residential satisfaction though comparison with ordinary single person households, and to suggest policy implications based on the analysis results. For this purpose, this study used ordered logit model analysis using ‘2019 Housing survey data’. In the case of housing type, it was found that elderly&ordinary households living in apartments had higher housing satisfaction than elderly&ordinary households living in detached houses. housing satisfaction of elderly single-person households living in non-metropolitan areas were higher than elderly single-person households living in metropolitan areas. In addition to, in the case of neighborhood/environmental characteristics, it was found that crime prevention had a great influence on the housing satisfaction of elderly households, and that the degree of air pollution had a significant effect on the housing satisfaction of ordinary households. The results of the analysis can be used as various reference materials when establishing housing welfare policies for elderly households.
