중학생의 스포츠 참여와 신체적 자기개념 및 미래 삶 기대의 관계

국문 초록

목적 이 연구의 목적은 중학생들의 스포츠 참여와 신체적 자기개념 및 미래 삶 기대의 관계를 검증하여 미래 삶을 긍정적으로 향상시키기 위한 스포츠 참여의 역할과 가능성에 대한 이론적 근거를 마련하고자 한다. 방법 이를 위해 2020년 C도에 거주하고 있는 중학교 학생을 대상으로 편의표본추출법을 이용해서 500명의 표본을 추출하여, 연구목적에 적합한 450명의 유효 표본을 확보하여 자료를 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 결과 첫째, 스포츠 참여는 신체적 자기개념에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 둘째, 스포츠 참여는 미래 삶 기대에 직접적인 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 신체적 자기개념은 미래 삶 기대에 직접적인 영향을 미치며 부분매개역할을 한다. 결론 연구결과를 토대로 중학생 시절의 스포츠 참여는 신체적 자기개념뿐만 아니라 미래 삶을 기대하는데 있어서 긍정적인 영향을 미치며, 올바른 신체적 자기개념의 성립 또한 밝은 미래 삶을 기대하게 만든다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study was to verify causal relationship between participation in Sports, physical self-concept and the future life expectation of middle school students as an approach to improving students’ expectation for their future. Methods In order to achieve the objectives of this study, a group of middle school students living in Chungbuk Province was set up as a population in 2020 and 450 students were selected by using convenience sampling, and the main research results are as follows. Results First, sports participation has a direct effect on physical self-concepts. Second, sports participation has a direct effect on the future life expectation. Third, physical self-concepts has a direct effect on the future life expectation, mediation effect between sports participation and future life expectation. Conclusions Combining these findings above, it is inferred that sports participation directly effects physical self-concepts and it also has direct and indirect effect on the future life expectation. Physical self-concepts directly effects the future life expectation and it also plays an intermediary role to have sports participation influence the future life expectation.
