인턴 상담자의 수련 경험에 대한 내러티브 탐구

국문 초록

목적 본 연구는 사이버대학교 심리상담센터에서 수련하는 인턴 상담자의 경험과 그 의미가 무엇인지 알아보기 위해 시행되었다. 방법 이를 위하여 A 사이버대학교 심리상담센터에서 2020년 3월부터 2021년 3월까지 인턴 상담자 4명을 심층 면담하였다. Clandinin과 Connelly의 내러티브 연구 방법을 사용하여, 그들의 경험을 해석하고 재해석하는 과정을 통해 경험이 가지는 의미를 찾아내고 이해하려 하였다. 결과 연구를 통해 드러난 인턴 상담자들의 경험은 ‘기대로 가득 찬 선택을 하다’, ‘상담을 시작하며, 좌충우돌하다’, ‘배우고 또 배우다’, ‘나이를 말하다’, ‘그 다음을 준비하다’로 드러났다. 이러한 경험의 의미는 ‘모르고 있다는 것을 알게 되다’. ‘일상이 달라지다’, ‘결국 내게 사람이 남는다’로 요약될 수 있다. 결론 1년이라는 시간의 연속성에서 인턴 상담자들이 ‘상담자’가 되어가는 과정에 초대되어, 유약한 면들을 드러내고 치유하는 모습, 지식을 실제로 적용하는 방법적 기술과 고정 관념에서 벗어나는 모습, 일상의 변화를 시도하는 개인의 성장 과정을 볼 수 있었다는 데 연구의 의의가 있다. 인턴 상담자들은 더 나은 사람으로, 더 나은 상담자로 다시 삶을 살아간다.

영문 초록

Objectives This study aimed to understand the meanings of intern counselors’ training experiences in psychological counseling center of cyber university. Methods For this, this study conducted the in-depth interviews with four intern counselors in psychological counseling center of A cyber university from March 2020 to March 2021. Using the narrative research method by Clandinin & Connelly, this study aimed to find and understand the meanings of their experiences through the process of interpreting and reinterpreting their experiences. Results In this study, the intern counselors’ experiences were shown as ‘Making a selection filled with expectations’, ‘Stumbling in the beginning of counseling’, ‘Learning and learning again’, ‘Talking about age’, and ‘Getting prepared for the next’. The meanings of such experiences could be summarized as ‘Getting to know that I do not know’. ‘The daily life is changed’, and ‘Eventually, I have people remained around me’. Conclusions The significance of this study is to see the looks of intern counselors who reveal and heal their weak sides, get out of stereotypes and methological techniques actually applying the knowledge, and the growth process of individuals who attempt such changes in daily life after being invited to the process of becoming a ‘counselor’ in the continuity of time for a year. The intern counselors live a life as a better person and better counselor again.
