영문 초록

This study intends to investigate residential characteristics and conflict factors of the public rental housing in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. 183 thousand public rental houses has been supplied for thirty years in Seoul, which have been provided as various types including Permanent Rental Housing, 50-year Pulic Rental Housing, Redevelopment Rental Housing, National Rental Housing, Lease by Publicly Purchased Existing Housing and so on. It is found that socioeconomic characteristics of the public rental housing are significantly different by housing types. They contain householder’s age, education level, economic activity and household income. Also, their residential attributes and satisfaction level are significantly different by housing types including tenure, residential area, and satisfaction level of internal environment, external environment and locational and accessibility. Most of them have been lived in the social mix complex; however, around six percent of them have suffered from discrimination and conflict from the residents living in the owner-occupied housing.
