국문 초록

목적 이 연구의 목적은 중도탈락한 고등학교 축구선수의 학교생활에 대해 알아봄으로써 학생운동선수였던 고등학생의 삶을 이해하는 데 있다. 방법 이를 위해 축구선수 생활을 경험하였으나, 개인적인 사정이나 경기력 부진 등으로 운동을 중도 포기한 일반 고등학생 3명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 자료는 심층 면담, 전화 인터뷰, SNS를 통해 수집하였으며, 귀납적 범주 분석 방법을 활용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 다각도 검증, 연구 참여자 확인, 전문가 검토를 통해 자료의 진실성을 확보하였다. 결과 중도탈락한 고등학교 축구선수의 학교생활은 중도탈락 전의 학교생활, 중도탈락 후의 학교생활, 학교생활의 교육적 의미 3가지 측면에서 이해할 수 있었다. 첫째, 중도탈락 전 축구선수의 고등학교 생활은 ‘분리된 생활’, ‘운동만이 나의 삶’으로 이해할 수 있었다, 둘째, 중도탈락한 후 축구선수의 고등학교 생활은 ‘고문 같은 수업 시간’, ‘평범한 학생’으로 이해할 수 있었다. 셋째, 중도탈락한 축구선수의 고등학교 생활의 교육적 의미는 ‘모드전환의 어려움’, ‘불투명한 미래’, ‘자기 관리하기’로 이해할 수 있었다. 결론 이 연구는 중도탈락한 축구선수의 고등학교 생활을 심층적으로 탐구, 분석해 교육적 의미를 살펴보았다는 데 의의가 있었다. 이를 토대로 중도탈락한 학생 선수를 지원할 수 있는 개인, 학교, 사회적 차원의 지원 방안을 모색하는 지속적인 노력이 필요하다 할 수 있겠다.

영문 초록

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the life of high school students who were student athletes by looking at the school life of high school soccer players who dropped out. Methods To this end, three general high school students who experienced soccer player life but gave up sports due to personal circumstances or poor performance were selected as participants in the study. The data was collected through in-depth interview, and phone interview, SNS, and the collected data was analyzed using the inductive category analysis method. Truthfulness of data was secured through triangulation, member checking, peer debriefing. Results School life of high school soccer players who dropped out could be understood in three aspects: school life before dropout, school life after dropout, and educational meaning of school life. First, the high school life of a soccer player before dropout could be understood as a ‘separate life’ and ‘my life only with exercise’. Second, after dropping out, the high school life of a soccer player was ‘torture-like class time’ and ‘ordinary life.’ I could understand it as a student . Third, the educational meaning of high school life for a football player who was dropped out could be understood as ‘difficulty in mode switching’, ‘opaque future’, and ‘self-management’. Conclusions This study was meaningful in that it explored and analyzed the high school life of soccer players who dropped out of school in depth to examine the educational implications. Based on this, it can be said that continuous efforts are needed to find support measures at the individual, school, and social level that can support student athletes who have dropped out.
