본 연구는 서울과 부산 및 경남지역 대학교에 재학 중인 장애대학생 140명을 대상으로 그들의 장애수용도, 사회적 거리감, 사회적 참여, 사회적 지지의 특성을 살펴봄과 동시에 장애대학생의 장애수용도에 영향을 미치는 요인들 간의 관계를 살펴보는데 그 목적이 있다. 본 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 먼저, 장애대학생의 장애수용도는 장애유형에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 사회적 거리감은 장애유형과 장애발견시기에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 또한 장애대학생의 사회적 참여는 장애정도에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였으며 사회적 지지에 대한 인식은 장애유형에 따라 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였다. 이와 더불어 장애대학생의 장애에 대한 인식을 설명해줄 수 있는 유용한 변인을 살펴보기 위해 단계적 회귀분석을 한 결과, 다양한 영향요인 가운데 장애유형과 사회적 거리감이 장애수용도를 57% 설명해 주는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 장애유형이 가장 영향력이 크고 다음으로 사회적 거리감이 유의한 설명력을 가지는 것으로 나타났다.
영문 초록
The purpose of this study is to investigate university students with disability acceptance toward disability condition, social distance, social activity, and social support toward people with disabilities and to examine the relationship between their acceptable attitudes toward people with disabilities and its influencing effects. We obtained information through a questionnaire from 140 university students with disabilities in Seoul, Busan and Gyengnam. The results of this study were as follows: First, there were significant differences between acceptable attitudes toward people with abilities and type of disability, the social distance and type of disability as well as age of onset, and the social activity of disability university students and type of disability. Second through stepwise multiple regression, the influencing variables on the perception toward people with disabilities of university students were type of disability and social distance which accounted for 57% of the variance in the data. Especially type of disability was the biggest influencing variable and social distance was the following one.
