영문 초록

This study elabrates how the Korean Constitution should be amended in the government structure. There are some problems in the current government structre of Korea. The bottom line to keep in mind in examining which system is the most suitable for the Republic of Kotea is to take in into consideration the constitutional experience we have. we have experienced several times a Presidential Dictorship, therefore we have to concern about the term of the president. The institutional problems and the comflicts are mainly due to the incorrect adaptation of the foreign systems. They are, for exemple, the term of the President, prime minister system in Kotea. The single term of the five years for the presidential office should be amended to allow two terms of four years. A Presidential candidate should attain a majority of votes to be elected the president. If no one attained a majority, the top two candidates would be put into a runoff. It would be better to have a vice president instead of a prime minister which is not well compatible with the preidential system.
