국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 대학 입학사정관의 사회적 책무와 직업윤리를 종합적으로 고찰하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 문헌조사법을 통해 선행 문헌들을 검토하여 주요 개념과 의의를 정리하고, 국내·외 대학의 입학사정관 윤리강령의 실제 사례에 대한 내용분석을 통해 입학사정관의 직업윤리가 갖는 함의와 함께 보완할 점을 살펴보고자 하였다. 이 같은 연구의 결과로는 입학사정관제에 대한 사회적 우려를 해소하기 위해서는 입학사정관이 담당할 막중한 사회적 책무와 엄격한 직무윤리에 대한 제고를 통해 투명하고 공정한 입학사정관제 운영이 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 입학사정관 윤리강령 제정과 준수는 대학과 고교간의 원활한 의사소통과 상호 신뢰의 기반 위에서 공고히 되고 실천될 수 있어야 함을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 향후 윤리강령은 대학과 고교가 공유하고 협력하는 가운데 명확한 윤리적 원칙을 토대로 한 공정한 입시를 위한 상호 행동 강령으로 보완되어야 함을 강조하였고, 이는 대학과 고교간의 신뢰관계를 질적으로 변화시킬 것으로 기대하였다. 특히 모든 학생이 대학에 관한 정확한 정보를 차별 없이 제공받을 권리, 지원자 자신의 개인 정보를 전형절차에서 충분히 보호받을 권리, 대학이 사전에 안내한 평가기준 및 원칙에 따라 공정한 평가를 받을 권리 등이 있음을 충분히 인식하고 그에 따른 학생의 권리가 세부 원칙과 지침에 따라 적극적으로 보장되어야 할 것임을 강조하였다.

영문 초록

The admissions officer has a high position and authority to select freshmen, the starting point of university education and the first communication between universities and high schools. In particular, it has a significant responsibility not only at the university level but also at the national level in that it contributes to social integration for the purpose of finding and nurturing talent and establishing a fair society by strengthening the fair selection process. Therefore, the admissions officer should strictly observe the procedural fairness in organizing the evaluation procedures and documenting all results so that the final sum/bidding of each applicant is not determined by the respective admission officer. In other words, a specific and clear assessment principle and assessment criteria should be established before the assessment, followed by a phased assessment, and supplementary measures should be taken to review and reassess the results of the assessment. In addition, we expect to lead and contribute to the establishment of ethical culture of Korean universities by actively working to spread various opportunities for promotion and information exchange related to entrance ethics based on a firm recognition of job ethics related to admission screening. The ethics of university entrance examiners need to be strengthened by enacting, declaring, and complying with the standard ethics code associated with high schools, and the entrance examiner s job ethics code should be utilized as a reference to protecting the admission officer s status and job performance, along with promoting the professional development of admission officers. It is expected that the scope of ethical sensitivity that future admissions officers will have will be expanded steadily to take into account not only pre-admission assessment but also post-admission adaptations.
