국문 초록

인간은 이성적이면서도 감성적인 존재이다. 인간이라는 텍스트를 온전히 읽어내기 위해서는 이성적인 차원뿐만 아니라 무의식과 충동까지도 들여다보고 이를 건강하게 해석할 수 있는 지혜가 필요하다. 심층심리학에서 꿈은 무의식을 들여다 볼 수 있는 중요한 통로이다. 꿈을 어떻게 바라볼 것인가. 본 연구는 파이너의 자서전적 방법에 근거하여 꿈을 통한 참된 자기에 이르는 길을 탐구하였다. 꿈에 담겨진 온전한 의미를 이끌어내기 위해 정신분석학(프로이트)과 분석심리학(융)의 관점의 통합 필요성 및 가능성을 살펴보고, 학문적 정체성 탐색과 관련한 꿈의 사례 분석에 적용하였다. 이를 바탕으로 연구자는 정신분석학과 분석심리학을 통합적으로 사용함으로써 무의식의 상징인 꿈을 보다 온전하게 이해할 수 있고, 한 개인의 과거와 미래가 현존하여 소통하는 의미 충만한 현재를 살아갈 수 있으며, 참된 자기에로 근접할 수 있음을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

Human beings are both rational and emotional beings. With a view to fully reading the text of mankind, it is necessary for us to look into not only the rational, but also into the irrational or unconscious dimension, and then to interpret the results in a healthy way. According to depth psychology, dreams are the best way to understand the unconscious. But how can we understand our dreams? On the basis of Pinar’s autobiographical methods, I investigated the path that leads one to find his or her authentic self through dreams. In order to garner the full meaning of our dreams, I looked at the possibility of integrating the views of Freud’s psychoanalysis theory, and Jung’s analytical psychology. Following this, I applied it to the case analysis of dreams related to the search for academic identity. Finally, I suggested that by using psychoanalysis and analytical psychology in an integrated way, we can understand our dreams more fully, live more meaningfully lives in the present, and eventually come nearer to realizing our authentic selves.
