국문 초록

목적 본 연구의 목적은 초등 사회교과서 전쟁사 서술내용과 표현을 분석하여 민주시민성 함양에 적합한 전쟁사 서술방향을 모색하는 것이다. 방법 이를 위해 7차 교육과정부터 2015 개정 교육과정까지 발행된 초등 사회교과서 역사영역의 전쟁사 서술 중 고려시기 외침(外侵)과 조선시기 임병양란(壬丙兩亂)을 분석대상으로 선정하여 서술내용과 수사적 표현을 비교⋅분석하였다. 결과 분석결과 전쟁의 원인과 전개과정에 중점을 둔 서술이 점차 강조되고, 전쟁의 승패에 따라 반복적으로 등장하는 서술내용구조가 고착화되었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 영웅과 지배층 중심의 서술로 인해 당시 전쟁을 경험한 일반인들의 관점은 나타나지 않았으며 전쟁을 선과 악의 구도로 서술하는 수사적 표현이 지속적으로 활용되었다. 결론 이러한 문제점을 극복하고 민주시민성 함양을 위한 전쟁사 서술을 위해서는 첫째, 전쟁이 가진 특수성에 기반하고 학생들에게 분석과 해석의 기회를 열어주는 서술, 둘째, 서술 관점의 대상과 범위의 확장, 셋째. 비판적 사고력, 탐구능력, 가치판단과 같은 민주시민성과 관련된 다양한 기능의 함양을 촉진하는 서술이 요구된다. Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents and expressions of the history of war in elementary social studies textbooks to find a direction for describing the history of war that is suitable for promoting democratic citizenship. Methods To this end, from the 7th curriculum to the 2015 revised curriculum, the Goryeo period and Joseon period were selected as targets for analysis among the descriptions of the history of war in the historical field of elementary social studies textbooks, and the description contents and rhetorical expressions were compared and analyzed. Results As a result of the analysis, it was found that the description focused on the cause and development process of the war was gradually emphasized, and the structure of content description that appeared repeatedly according to the victory or defeat of the war was fixed. In addition, it was confirmed that the perspective of ordinary people who experienced the war at the time was not revealed due to the description centered on the heroes and the ruling class, and that the rhetorical expression describing the war in the composition of good and evil was continuously used

영문 초록

Conclusions In order to overcome these problems and clarify the history of war to promoting democratic citizenship, first, it is based on the specificity of war and opens opportunities for analysis and interpretation to students, second, expanding the scope and object of the narrative perspective, and third. A description that can promote of various functions related to democratic citizenship such as critical thinking ability, inquiry ability, and value judgment is required.
